SINGAPORE: Singapore has reported 20,312 new cases of COVID-19 since midday (February 23), including 20,152 local and 160 imported infections.
Seven died, bringing the number of deaths due to coronavirus complications to 963.
There are 1,587 patients in the hospital, according to the latest infection statistics on the website of the Ministry of Health (MH). A total of 200 patients needed supplementation.
As on Tuesday, 46 patients were admitted to the intensive care unit. Most new COVID-19 infections in Singapore are protocol 2 cases, which are cases that are good when a mild condition is diagnosed.
Among the cases reported on Wednesday, 17,322 were classified according to Protocol 2, consisting of 17,267 local cases and 55 imported.
Another 2,990 cases were confirmed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests, of which 105 were infected.
The weekly growth rate of the infection was 1.49 compared to 1.57 on Tuesday.
Singapore has recorded 642,605 cases of COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic. On Tuesday, 94 percent of Singapore's eligible population completed their full vaccination schedule as part of the country's vaccination program.
About 66 percent of the total population received their support for faxing.
